# DashThis alternatives for small agencies: how dashboards and sources add up (2026)

DashThis is easy to explain to a client: one dashboard is one marketing report. The bill is harder to predict, because every plan caps 2 things at once, dashboards and sources, and you can run out of either one first.

This guide covers what counts, how many you need, how outside data gets in, and how a client checks a number. Then it compares 5 alternatives that count differently, from official pages as of October 29, 2026. For costs at 3, 10 and 25 clients, see our [AgencyAnalytics alternatives](/resources/agencyanalytics-alternatives) guide.

## What does DashThis count, and what does it cost?

A dashboard is one marketing report, and the pricing FAQ says users usually create one per client. A source is a connected data account, such as a Google Analytics property or a Google Ads account. Prices as of October 29, 2026:

| Plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | Dashboards | Sources |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Individual | $44/mo | $54/mo | 3 | 15 |
| Professional | $139/mo | $164/mo | 10 | 40 |
| Business | $279/mo | $324/mo | 25 | 100 |
| Standard | $429/mo | $499/mo | 50 | 200 |

Every plan has unlimited users and every integration. The pricing page shows white label (logo, custom domain, custom email) on all 4 plans, but DashThis's sales FAQ says it starts at Professional, so confirm it for Individual. The trial is 14 days with 10 dashboards.

Sources follow 3 rules. A source counts as soon as it's added to a dashboard, even before a widget uses it, but not while it's only connected to your account. Each GA4 property is its own source, even under one Google login. And an account used in several dashboards counts once.

Above Individual, every plan has exactly 4 times as many sources as dashboards. If you build one dashboard per client and your clients average more than 4 accounts, sources run out first.

## How many dashboards and sources do you really need?

For most agencies, one dashboard per client, not one per month.

- **Months.** A periodic dashboard, such as a monthly report, has a drop-down for past periods, up to 13 months back. The help center's way to change a dashboard's date range is to clone it, which makes a second dashboard.
- **Channels.** A client's paid, social and SEO data can share one dashboard, divided by header widgets. In DashThis's own example, 2 dashboards per client doubles your dashboards while sources stay about the same.

Say you're a freelance marketer with 8 clients, and 3 of them want paid and SEO as separate reports. That's 11 dashboards, one more than Professional allows. Give those 3 one dashboard each with 2 sections, and you need 8.

Five clients run Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4 and Search Console, which is 20 sources, and the other 3 add LinkedIn Ads, for 15 more. At 35, Professional fits at $139 a month billed yearly. Then 2 clients launch a second site with its own GA4 property, and 4 start TikTok Ads: 41 sources for 8 dashboards.

DashThis won't add the 41st. Adding a source shows an error until you remove one or upgrade. Business is $279 a month billed yearly, so the 41st account raises your bill by $140 a month, or $160 on monthly billing. The sales FAQ says DashThis can also price an in-between plan.

## How do you bring in data that isn't an integration?

Pipedrive, Stripe and Jotform aren't DashThis integrations. There are 3 ways to bring such data in, and each becomes a source in a dashboard.

- **Google Sheets.** Excel isn't supported. DashThis imports up to 52 columns, 50,000 rows and 40 tabs per file and reads the sheet every hour. In a list by campaign name, rows with the same name are summed into one line. And history stays: delete every row for a date, and that date keeps its old numbers until you add a row with 0.
- **CSV files.** In the CSV Files Manager, you build a template from a sample file, marking the date, a customer ID, and the header and footer lines, totals included. After you add a widget, you upload the file again. Overlapping files add up: May 1 to 16 plus May 12 to 31 doubles May 12 to 16.
- **Custom Data Source.** The help center now recommends this: an AI assistant connected through DashThis's MCP Connector saves data from a file or a screenshot as a source. It sends up to 500 rows and 30 columns at a time, doesn't refresh on its own, counts as one of your plan's sources, and can't delete rows; support does that.

## How does a client check a number in DashThis?

Your client opens a shared link with no login, in view mode, and the link lasts as long as the dashboard. The whole dashboard exports only as a PDF, so a client who wants the rows behind a number has to ask you for them.

Definitions live in notes. The help center describes using widget notes, which viewers open from an orange icon, or a comment box as a glossary of KPI definitions.

When a number doesn't match the client's platform, start with the widget's Info tab, among its edit options, which shows its source, metrics, dimensions and filter. DashThis's Meta Ads checklist compares the same account, period, KPIs and filters, and attribution window, which defaults to 7-day click and 1-day view in both tools. Our [agency client reporting guide](/resources/agency-client-reporting) covers other causes.

Sheet numbers get checked in the sheet. Say a client's form tool shows 212 entries for October and the dashboard shows 219. If you deleted 7 test entries from October 3, that day's only rows, DashThis kept them. A row for October 3 with 0 fixes it.

## Which DashThis alternatives fit a small agency?

Entry prices are in US dollars from official pages as of October 29, 2026, billed yearly unless noted. Every Number's prices are planned, and nothing is billed yet.

| Option | How it counts | Entry price | Sheets or files | Check a number |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DashThis | Dashboards, sources | $44/mo | Sheets, CSV template | Notes; PDF-only export |
| AgencyAnalytics | Clients | $20/client/mo | Sheets, 2,500 rows | Not documented |
| Swydo | Data sources | $69/mo, monthly | Sheets, Excel (365) | Widget CSV download |
| Databox Agency | Accounts, sources | $79/mo plus packs | Sheets, Excel | Data lineage |
| Data Studio + Windsor.ai | Platforms, accounts | Free + $19/mo | Sheets, Excel, CSV | Show underlying data |
| Every Number | People, planned | Free; Solo $29/mo planned | Excel or CSV exports | A receipt per number |

**AgencyAnalytics** counts clients: $20 per client per month billed annually, with unlimited data sources, reports and dashboards per client, unlimited staff, 90+ marketing integrations and a white-labeled client portal. Its Google Sheets integration stops at 2,500 rows and doesn't read Excel files uploaded to Google Drive. It fits clients who each run many accounts.

**Swydo** counts data sources, one per connected account: in US dollars, $69 a month with 10, then $4.50 each for sources 11 to 100. Clients, users, dashboards and reports are unlimited, so a report per channel costs nothing extra. White-labeling is included, custom data comes from Google Sheets or from Excel through Microsoft Business 365, and Swydo's blog says widgets download as CSV with row-level data.

**Databox Agency** is $79 a month billed annually with unlimited users. Its plan builder starts at 4 accounts and 20 data sources, and each $20-a-month pack adds 1 account and 5 data sources. Like DashThis, it counts every account or property. Google Sheets and Excel are included, white-labeling is an $80-a-month add-on, and data lineage traces where data comes from.

**Data Studio with Windsor.ai** splits the job. Data Studio, called Looker Studio until April 2026, has a no-cost version, and Google's own connectors (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Search Console, Sheets, Excel) are free. Its Template Gallery has Google-built templates you copy and point at a client's data. Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok Ads need partner connectors, which may cost money. Windsor.ai Basic is $19 a month billed yearly ($23 monthly) for 3 data sources, meaning platforms, and 75 accounts, with unlimited users. You build every report, and Show underlying data, in the editor, lists what a chart used.

For the 8 clients and 41 accounts above, AgencyAnalytics would be $160 a month billed annually, Swydo $208.50 a month, and Databox Agency $179 a month billed annually with 5 packs, against $279 for DashThis Business. Windsor.ai Basic covers the 15 Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok accounts for $19 a month.

## Where does Every Number fit?

Every Number, which publishes this guide, fits agencies whose clients send exports or spreadsheets from tools DashThis doesn't connect to, and agencies that must show which rows were counted and which were left out. You upload the file (Excel or CSV, up to 10 MB). Fixed rules, not AI, lay out the first screen from your columns, and a database counts every number. Every number opens its receipt: the definition, the rows it used, and the rows it left out with the reason, such as a totals row. Read-only share links can carry an end date. See the [agency use case](/use-cases/agencies) and the [export guides](/exports) for 38 tools.

Drop a client's file at [everynumber.app/try](/try) with no account and see a dashboard in seconds; unless you save it, it's deleted after 24 hours. Teams that sign up are free for 30 days, with no card. Planned prices are $29 a month for Solo and $99 for Team, up to 5 people, and nothing is billed yet. The [$99 pilot](/pilot) delivers a dashboard built by a person in 5 business days.

It's not a fit if you need a white-label client portal or live connectors to ad platforms. It doesn't pull data on a schedule, so every refresh is a new upload. And it's new: the app opened to everyone on October 25, 2026, with no customers to quote and no certifications such as SOC 2.
